How To Convert Millions Of Customers On E-Commerce Sites? Part 1

homepage-stats3.jpg Before you convert millions of customers on your E-commerce site, let’s begin with  the most important part i.e, Homepage.

As a digital marketing expert, it’s your job to help clients create the best website possible so that they can achieve their goals. Millions of customers and millions in sales: that’s the dream many e-commerce store owners have when they launch their store. Every day think about what will work best for your client’s specific businesses and their specific customers. It’s important to craft a website specifically for each target audience and each individual brand, because no two are the exact same. Nonetheless, there’s also a lot to be learned from those who have come before us and achieved wild success.

Analyse the top e-commerce sites across the web to discover their common traits and best practices, so that we can learn from them and gain valuable insights you can incorporate into your own site. Let’s see few examples.

Sony has such a well-organized homepage. Their main promotion and graphic tells you exactly what you can expect to find on their site. They have quick access to products and popular categories to get customers shopping.

Your homepage is the most important page of your site. It’s typically the most visited page and also the page the majority of customers land on before diving deeper into your store. For those reasons, a great homepage is both a valuable sales tool and a great opportunity to showcase your brands or products. Since the average customer makes a decision about your brand between 15-30 seconds of landing on your homepage, it’s more important than ever to get your homepage right.

RedBubble’s homepage has very clear messaging and a beautiful grid layout of popular categories. It sets the brand feel and then goes straight into shopping. Simple and to the point, this is a great homepage.

An example of a bad homepage:

IndoSuryaAsia’s homepage doesn’t have a very clear messaging and a beautiful grid layout of popular categories. It doesn’t set the brand feel and it prompts you straight into shopping their featured products. Simply, this is a not a great homepage.

SEO essentials for your website Part 3

Small-Medium sized businesses hoping for SEO (search engine optimization) rankings can take a lesson from my weekly articles. You can now create a checklist of your own to make sure everything is perfect for your website.

Optimize all the images:

Use keyword phrases not only throughout the website’s content, but also in the image description. If you’re using a CMS like WordPress – inserting an ALT attribute in an image tag is really easy! After uploading an image, go to “Alternative Text” and insert your description there.

Eg. “Brown shoes for men.jpg” instead of “DCIM123.jpg”

Optimize your web pages with one Keyword:

The best thing is to optimize a web page with one keyword phrase rather than several ones at a time. By focusing on one keyword, and to be sure that it gains all the SEO power it can get. Optimize title tags and meta tags of your website along with its content (headline, subheadings, body text, links and images).

Ex: Backpacking

Link to other quality websites:

If you link to other websites, you not only help to promote their content, but also you let others know that you exist. Simple as that. And if you provide quality content, people whose work you’ve shared will be more willing to promote your website as well.

Carefully plan your content strategy:

Have a strategy for content that you would like to publish on your website. First, it’s very important to know What kind of information you would like to provide, also how often. Especially this applies if you run a blog within your website. Start with creating a roadmap for content creation.

Create your social media presence:

The more visible your content is on social media, the more chance that people will share it via blog posts, forums, social bookmarking sites, and other platforms, naturally increasing your link profile. Having an online visibility and brand presence in various social media channels can increase traffic to your site and build your reputation.

If you start implementing the above-mentioned tips to your website, you see the results in next three to six months. Hold on for a moment, you need to be patience and consitent to achieve results.

I wish you all a pleasant journey on your journey to SEO optimization.

Why SEOs are essential for your website? Part 1

Before we start with the essentials of SEO basics, did you meet any high-level consulting firm or an individual to understand what SEO resources can be trusted and why it is important for your website? Don´t misunderstand about SEO strategies and tactics before you fully understand what SEOs resources can do for your website. Take a closer look at a few essentials in the below.

  1. Commit yourself to the process: SEO is not a one-time event. Search engine algorithms change regularly, so the tactics that worked last year may not work today. SEO requires a long-term outlook and commitment. So, keep yourself in the loop of SEO tactics.
  2. Be patient: SEO isn’t about immediate results. Results often take months to see, and this is especially true the smaller you are, and the newer you are to doing business online.
  3. Ask a lot of questions when hiring an individual or an SEO company: It’s your job to know what kind of tactics the company uses. Ask if there are any risks involved. Then get online yourself and do your own research—about the company, about the tactics etc.
  4. Start a blog and participate with other related blogs:  Reading and commenting on other blogs will increase your exposure and help you acquire new links. A tip – Put your blog at so your main domain gets the benefit of any links to your blog posts. If that’s not possible, use
